Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information is processed when you use SmartPoolCalc (the "site"), who processes it and what choices you have. The site is operated by Raul Vaquerizo. Contact: info@smartpoolcalc.com.

Summary

Calculator inputs

Calculations run entirely in your browser. To make results shareable, your inputs are written into the page address (for example ?volume=20000). That address only leaves your device if you share it or bookmark it in a synced browser. Like any web address, it can appear in your browser history.

Information stored on your device

The site stores one value in your browser's local storage: your preferred units (US or metric), under the keyspc-units. It is not a cookie, it is never sent to us, and you can delete it by clearing your site data.

Hosting and security logs (Cloudflare)

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site against abuse, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser user agent and the pages requested. SeeCloudflare's privacy policy.

Analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics)

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and measure page speed. It does not use cookies or local storage, does not fingerprint visitors and does not track you across sites. We only see aggregated reports.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

The site is funded by ads served by Google AdSense. In connection with those ads:

If you do not consent to personalized ads, Google may still show non-personalized or limited ads, which use cookies only for purposes such as frequency capping and fraud prevention.

Your consent choices (EEA, UK and Switzerland)

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent message from a Google-certified consent management platform is shown before any advertising cookies are set. You can accept, reject or customize your choices, and you can change them at any time using the "Privacy and cookie settings" link shown on the page.

US state privacy rights

Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws may have the right to know, delete and correct personal information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. Where required, an opt-out link is shown on the site. You can also email us to exercise these rights.

Your rights under GDPR and UK GDPR

If you are in the EEA or the UK you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Because we do not hold accounts or form submissions, we generally hold no personal data about you other than emails you choose to send us. The legal basis for advertising cookies is your consent; for security logs it is our legitimate interest in keeping the site available and safe.

Email

If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply, and delete the conversation when it is no longer needed.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if the way the site handles data changes, for example if a new service is added. The date below shows the latest revision.
